About & how we compare

six3x exists to make choosing a tool feel as confident as picking one up in the store.

Our rules

  • Every number is sourced. Specs come from manufacturer pages, manuals, or major retailers, linked on each tool page.
  • We never guess. If a maker doesn't publish something (often weight with battery or grip size), we show Unverified.
  • Unit conversions are labeled. Some makers publish torque only in N·m; we convert to in-lb and say so.
  • Prices aren't facts. Prices change daily, so we link to retailers instead of printing a price — when we mention one, it's dated and sourced.
  • Rankings aren't for sale. Affiliate commissions never change which tools we recommend.

Who it's for

Everyone starting out or leveling up — first apartments, first homes, garden projects, the person who just wants to hang a shelf straight. We write in plain English and focus on what you'll feel: weight, size, control and comfort.

Testing

This first version compares published specifications. We haven't lab-tested these tools ourselves yet; where we cite a reviewer's measurement, we link it.
